Micro-financing can lift women out of poverty here and abroad. See a video presentation on micro-financing from the documentary Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, enjoy ethnic music, hear local representatives from the Grameen Bank, buy goods made by women worldwide, and learn how you can connect and help. Please bring an accessory (shoes, scarf, purse, etc.) to donate to Dress for Success.
- 6:00 p.m.—Global market place & ethnic music featuring products made by women from around the world.
- 6:30 p.m.—Optional $10 dinner provided by a female entrepreneurial caterer, Taste Budds Soul and Catering. Registration for dinner is required HERE.
- 7:00-8:30 pm.—See video presentation on micro-financing from Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide (a documentary based on the book by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn) and hear from representatives of the Grameen Bank Indianapolis chapter.
