New York City HAZUS-MH Coastal Flooding Analysis

Description: Applied Research Associates (ARA) was contracted by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to perform a hurricane wind and coastal flood analysis for New York City for up to five ‘worst case’ hurricane scenarios. The intent of this analysis is to ascertain the potential losses that might result from a hurricane in order to better prepare for and mitigate against such events. The Polis Center provided support for the flood modeling segment of this project.
