The new SAVI community assessment & planning tool is designed to help you learn more about your community’s population, social and economic issues, and resources in an easy-to-use tool. Assessing your community’s needs and assets is an important first step in planning community improvement.

This one-hour webinar will teach you to use the tool to create a customized data report about the community of your choice. Define your assessment geography as a collection of counties, school corporations, townships, or census tracts. SAVI then calculates hundreds of statistics for your area and makes them accessible in a dashboard and charts and maps. We will compile it into a report that you can download in MS Word document and then continue customizing with your own data and narrative.

To use this tool you must be logged in as a registered SAVI user. Ensure that you have your SAVI login information prior to the webinar. If you need assistance with your login, please contact us at savi@iupui.edu or 317-274-2455.
