Anne Laker is coordinator of the Spirit & Place Festival. In this role, she recruits partners and coordinates their efforts, manages the steering committee and other planning ventures, and organizes the selection and negotiation of speakers and festival participants.

Before joining The Polis Center in March, Laker was a program officer at the Indiana Humanities Council. She has 10 years of experience with public humanities programming and in helping to develop educational, arts, literary, and history programs in schools, museums, libraries, and other not-for-profit ventures. She is pursuing a master's degree in English at IUPUI.
